It'll Pass

Just give it time. I'm sure the whole All Natural Iron thing is just a short fad.

Oh, it'll pass. In a decade or three. Dangerous fads, ones that make something more life-threatening than it was before, die very slowly. Mostly because they add to the 'proof' that whatever they are making worse is so horribly dangerous, which causes the fads to stick around far beyond what they should. What's even worse is they will do this to the detriment of a business's financial success and frequently be supported by the business being ruined.

Now, if this fad wasn't making something that was already dangerous more so I'd give it five to ten years. Something you could easily miss while sitting in jail.

Why even buy weapons anyway? Everyone knows true adventurers get weapons right from the source: drops from killing random animals!

@Aslandus: chicken and the egg thing. how do you kill the animals to get the drops?

starting at the bottom and beating squirrels to death to get a plastic spork to kill a cat to get a pocket knife and so on takes forever to grind up to a worthwhile weapon

@Guest: Hey, I've seen sporks used to great effect.

I think once heroes start dying, then the guild is going to start noticing.
